Congratulations to June and Earl Elliott of RVilla and formerly of Concession 10, who celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary this week. Nancy and Paul Greenwood hosted a family gathering in Goderich, Saturday. Joyce and John Farrell celebrated with them Sunday with their family. Congratulations, as well, to those folks celebrating birthdays in January – Wilma Sutton, Fran and Jim Farrell.
Grey-Bruce Farmers Week has been well attended.
Get well wishes are sent to folks in hospital and recovering at home.
Congratulations to Donald Farrell who received one of the 2015 Huron-Bruce Outstanding Citizen Awards, presented by Huron-Bruce MPP Lisa Thompson, at the New Year's Levee held Jan. 6 at the Teeswater Town Hall.
Deanna and Morley Scott visited with Frances and Bev Kingston in Chesley for their Scott Christmas.
Kay and Jerry Logtenberg hosted 39 of the Logtenberg family for their family Christmas.
Thirty of the Farrell family gathered at the home of Jim and Fran Farrell Jan. 2 to celebrate Christmas.
Our sympathy is sent to the families of Kim Johnston, Joe Kieffer and Alvin Thompson and other families that are grieving.
All of the family of Marilyn and Don Reid met at their place Christmas Day. During the holidays, their grandchildren visited, including Brianna Husk, Brad and Elisabeth, Greg and Lori. Marilyn and Don also visited at the home of Sandra and Ed Husk with all their family.
Hope everyone has put Jan. 27 on the calendar for the Alzheimer Coffee Break at RVilla. The residents are looking forward to visits with their friends.
The lunch meeting for the Purple Grove Women's Institute is Wednesday, Jan. 13 at Marilyn Reid's home - weather permitting of course.
