Ronald Frederick Tout of Kincardine died Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at University Hospital, London, surrounded by the love of his family, at the age of 76. After being together for more than 56 years, Ron will be deeply missed by his loving wife and best friend, Joyce (née McIntosh), along with his pride and joy, his children, Jeff (Sandra), Jackie (Ben), Joel (Andrea), Kyle and Tyler (Jamie). His cherished grandchildren, Cailey (Jonah), Cole, Hannah, Daniel, Evan, Lucas, Clay, Carson, Hadley, Natalie and Finn, will forever remember his sense of humour and Grampa jokes. Ron was a dear brother of his siblings, Eleanor Swan, Carol and Bill Stewart, Kevin and MaryAnne Tout, and will be fondly remembered by his sisters-in-law, Nancy Tout, Marj Tennyson and Janette McIntosh, and many nieces and nephews. Ron was predeceased by his parents, Fred and Ev (née Norman) Tout; brother, Bob Tout; brothers-in-law, Bob Swan, Bill Tennyson Sr., and Norman McIntosh Jr.; and grandson, Jacob Davis. Ron was born in Kincardine, July 20, 1948. At an early age, he started working at the IGA in Kincardine and then moved to manage the Wingham location. He married the love of his life, Joyce, in 1970, residing in Wingham where they started their family. Ron returned home in 1976 where he joined the family business, Kincardine Construction. The business later developed into Bluewater Concrete where Ron managed operations prior to it becoming the Kincardine location of Donegan’s Haulage and Redi Mix. Before retiring, he spent the next five years in various consulting and property maintenance roles with JAND Services. Ron and Joyce built a home in Inverhuron where their family spent 41 years together. He loved sitting in the backyard by his fish pond, tinkering in the yard, picnics, sunsets at the beach, and riding his beloved Harley. In retirement, Ron and Joyce moved back to Kincardine. Their passion was being together, travelling to watch their grandchildren in their various sporting activities. Ron was a hard-working man of integrity whose kindness, compassion and incredible sense of humour will be deeply missed by all who knew him. A time to reminisce, laugh and honour Ron’s life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 183, Kincardine (219 Lambton Street), Wednesday, June 4, 2025, from 1-4 p.m., with remembrances shared at 2 p.m. Final resting place, Port Bruce Cemetery.
