Robert “David” Alexander, 75, of Kincardine died peacefully, Monday, July 24, 2017, at the Kincardine hospital. Born in Clinton, the son of Helen and Norman Alexander, he lived his early life in Londesborough and the rest of his life in Kincardine. Respected teacher at Kincardine District Secondary School for 35 years, avid gardener, creative craftsman, talented woodcarver, David loved his family, his flower beds, time by the lake and at the cottage he built. He enjoyed reading, hiking, sailing, canoeing, classical music and woodcarving. Beloved husband of Mary (née Lavis); cherished dad of Jennifer; adored Baba of Alexander; dear brother of Jim and Ruth Alexander, Elaine and Don Cousineau; brother-in-law of Linda and Jan Pavlinec, Laurel and Rod Lavigne; and treasured uncle of David, Susan, Donald, Jimmy, Tammy, Jonathan, Christopher, Katrina, Steven, Matthew and Kelly. He will be sorely missed. A celebration of life with the immediate family will take place at a later date. Donations may be made in his name to the Kincardine and Community Health Care Foundation, the Kincardine Trails Association or the Kincardine Library. Goodbye may seem forever. Farewell is like the end. But in our heart is the memory and there you’ll always be. |
