Eleanor Jacobi died at her home in Port Elgin, Aug. 23, 2017, at the age of 86. Beloved wife of the late Bruce Holmes Jacobi. Loving mother of Elizabeth Marie Ballagh of Ripley, and Coralie Ann Jacobi (Norman Petrino) of Fort Erie. Oma will be sadly missed and remembered by her grandchildren, Adam, David, and Rebekah. Survived by her sister, Martha Stevens; and by her nieces and nephew. Predeceased by her parents, Peter and Anna Boldt, of Russia; and her siblings, Anne Hamm, Helen Boldt, Lydia Papke, Edward Boldt and Jacob Boldt (in infancy). A Memorial Service to Celebrate the Life of Eleanor Jacobi will be held at the Eagleson Funeral Home, Southampton, Sunday Aug. 27, 2017, at 3 p.m., with visitation beginning at 2 p.m. Interment of ashes to be held at a later date at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.
