Mary "Eleanor" Johnson of Kinloss died Sept. 9, 2017, at her residence, with her family by her side. She was 69. Beloved wife of Bob Johnson for 50 years. Eleanor was born Jan. 3, 1948, in Kincardine, daughter of the late Lauretta (Slade) and Ellison Hodgins. She was the dear mother of Terri (David) Bauer of Chelmsford, Rob (Diana) Johnson of Cobourg, and Rick (Kelly) Johnson of Ajax. Dear grandma of Marissa, Cameron, Cassidy, Michael, Rebecca, Ellianna, Kennadi, and Brinlynn. Survived by her three sisters, Elaine (Jack) Giroux, Janice (Steve) Elliott, and Joyce (Craig) Eckersley. Eleanor was very community-minded, dedicating much of her time to the Kinloss Community Centre and the Bervie United Church, as treasurer. She and Bob spent many wonderful times, exploring and sharing music and adventures with the Gypsy Campers. Visitation will be held at the MacKenzie and McCreath Funeral Home, Lucknow, Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2017, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at the Kinloss Community Centre, Thursday, Sept. 14, 2017, at 11 a.m., with a luncheon to follow. Interment, Greenhill Cemetery, Lucknow. Donations to the Kinloss Community Centre or the Kincardine and Community Health Care Foundation, would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. |
