Christopher James Lynam of Kincardine, died surrounded by the love of his family, at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Kincardine hospital, Sunday, Dec. 3, 2017, at the age of 74. Beloved husband of Joy Lynam (née Witter). Cherished father of Julie Whitney (David) of Kincardine and Barry Lynam (Donna) of St. Thomas. Missed by his grandchildren, Michael Whitney (Amanda), Johnathan Whitney (Paige), Rachael Whitney (Bryce), Bryan Lynam and Corbin Lynam, and great-grandson, Bryce Lynam. Dear brother of Charlotte Pitchford (Brian) and Valerie McCann (Peter), all of England. Fondly remembered by sister-in-law, Mary Lynam of Wales; brother-in-law, John Witter (Michelle) of Florida; and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Christopher and Agnes (née Weir) Lynam; and brother, Danny Lynam. Chris was a hard-working and dedicated member of the Kincardine Lions Club. He was part of the club committee that developed the boardwalk along the Lake Huron shoreline, running north of Harbour Street to Dunsmoor Park. Visitation will be held at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, Kincardine, Thursday, Dec. 7, 2017, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m., where the funeral will be held Friday, Dec. 8, 2017, at 11 a.m., with Pastor Kenneth Craig officiating. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides, would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. |
