Douglas Karl "Dougy" Blewett, formerly of Kincardine, a 27-year employee of Ontario Hydro, died suddenly Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2017, while on vacation in Cuba. He was 74. Loving father of Sharon (Garnet) Jarvis, Debra (Alex) Toth, and Cathy. Beloved Grandpa and Papa of Krista, Samantha and Jessica Jarvis, and Spencer and Sophia Toth. Dear brother of Phil (Audrey), Barbara (George) Dekle, and the late Wilson. Beloved son of the late Karl and Christina Blewett. Former husband of Shirley-Ann Quesnel. Doug graduated as a Civil Technologist from Ryerson Polytechnical Institute in 1965 and was well-known for his love of guitar playing. A Memorial Reception will be held at Ashburnham Funeral Home, 840 Armour Road, Peterborough, from 1-3 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 16, 2017.
