Shirley Olive Lockwood (Beattie) of Ripley, beloved wife of the late Ross Lockwood, died at the Kincardine hospital, Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2018, at the age of 92. Born in Richmond County, Quebec, Sept. 5, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Elizabeth (Walker) and John Beattie. Greatly missed by her children, Allan (Melanie) Lockwood of Kemptville; and Bev (Joe) Fry and Gail (Ron) Lotton, all of Ripley. Also loved by 13 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren; and sister, Bernice Beattie of Richmond, Quebec. Predeceased by her daughter, Helen; and sons-in-law, Edward Smith and Kermit Goodhue. A Celebration of Shirley's Life will be held at the MacKenzie and McCreath Funeral Home, Ripley, Saturday, May 5, 2018, at 2 p.m., with visitation one hour prior. Interment Ripley Cemetery.
