CLARENCE ARTHUR "JOE" JARVIS

Clarence Arthur “Joe” Jarvis died peacefully, with his family beside him, at the Kincardine hospital, Jan. 24, 2018, at the age of 82. Left to mourn, are his wife, Patricia (nee Perry); daughters, Sandra (Geoff Farrell), Holly (Jim St. Antoine), Laura (Brian Ross), and Kathleen (Glenn Wells); grandchildren Thomas (Becca), Jonathon (Siobhan), Jacob, and Patrick Farrell, and Shannon and Melissa Ross; great-grandchildren, Everett and Arlo Farrell; brothers, Hugh (Georgina) and John (Sharon), along with a large extended family. Predeceased by one brother, four sisters, and grandson, James Ross. Clarence was born June 28, 1935, near Ayr, Ontario, the sixth of eight children born to Art and Josephine Jarvis. He grew up on farms in the area, and later moved with his wife and young family to Glammis, where he was a dairy farmer for 29 years. He and Pat retired to Ripley where he enjoyed woodworking, and long daily drives to watch others on the land. Clarence loved his family, horses, antique tractors, country and western music, and telling stories about his youth for all to enjoy. Visitation will be held at the MacKenzie and McCreath Funeral Home, Ripley, Friday, Jan. 26, 2018, from 5-8 p.m. The funeral will be held in the chapel, Saturday, Jan. 27, 2018, at 1 p.m., with visitation beginning at Noon. Officiant will be Pastor Kenneth Craig. Spring interment, Ripley Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to Huron Shores Hospice or Kincardine Baptist Church.
