Jessie "Irene" Blake of Lucknow, beloved wife of the late Keith Blake, died at Pinecrest Manor, Feb. 6, 2018, at the age of 87. Born in Ashfield Township, Sept. 13, 1930, she was the daughter of the late "Dollie" (Cooke) and Hugh Menary. Greatly missed by her children Jannet (Fred) Trewartha of London, Sharon (Jack) Wilkins of Lucknow, Heather (Colin) Snyder of Bluevale, and Larry (Holly) Blake of Lucknow, as well as 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Survived by her sister, Carol (Keith) Hickling; and brother, Ron (Joanne) Menary. A quiet and gentle soul, Irene worked alongside her husband on their farm in Ashfield Township. She enjoyed visiting with family and friends and being involved in the community. Following Irene's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family graveside service will be held in the spring. Interment, Greenhill Cemetery, Lucknow. Memorial donations to the Lung Association of Bruce, Dufferin, Grey, would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. |
