Lisa Jean Katherine Hohnstein, born in Walkerton, died suddenly in Kincardine, Saturday, April 7, 2018, at the age of 42. Having spent the early years of her life in St. Thomas, Lisa had made Kincardine her home for the past 20 years. Lisa was a magnetic force to many friends and family. She had a fierce, free spirit and was always ready with a kind word and a smile. Her presence always conveyed a sense of comfort. She had a strong love for, and connection with, the outdoors and nature. Her favourite pass-time was relaxing on the dock watching the sunrise in Elliot Lake, and she enjoyed watching hockey with her cousin, Tim, and friends during their hockey nights. Lisa was a strong-willed Momma, who always supported her daughter, encouraging Kierra to pursue her dreams and life goals, and providing unconditional love. She always expressed that her daughter could do anything she put her mind to, and that her best effort was always good enough. Loved and missed forever by her daughter and best friend, Kierra Justine Christiansen (Jesse Lynch). Cherished daughter of David Marple Hohnstein (Ann Marie Graham) and Connie Alice Wright. Missed deeply by her brother, David Duane James Hohnstein (Amy Smith); nephews, David and Daniel Hohnstein; and niece, Caitlynn Harrington. Forever remembered by life-long friend, Vanessa Holmes-Bell (Phil Bell). Also missed by many friends and family. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorial donations to the Women’s House Serving Bruce and Grey, Victim Services Huron County, WES For Youth, or the Canadian Mental Health Association, would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. |
