Lillian Rae, who just recently celebrated her 90th birthday with friends and family, died peacefully with family by her side, Tuesday, July 24, 2018, at Kincardine hospital. Born Lillian Beth McKenzie, July 11, 1928, in Kincardine Township, Lillian lived for many years with the love of her live, her husband Roxy Rae, in Vancouver. Roxy kept his 30-year promise, crossing the country for many years for family vacations until bringing Lillian back home in their retirement years to be closer to her family, the McKenzies. Sadly missed by her step-daughter, Roxanne (Del) Paterson; grandchildren, Jim (Maureen) Paterson, and Nancy Paterson; and great-grandchildren, Oscar, Gracie and Angus Paterson. Remembered by her sister-in-law, Helen McKenzie; her brothers–in–law, Neil (Grace) Campbell and Eric (Dorothy) Osborne;and her many, many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews, and friends. Lillian was one cool lady! Predeceased by her loving husband, Roxy; parents, John and Charlotte; sisters, Grace and Dorothy; and brother, Donald. The family welcomes friends and family to the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, Kincardine, Thursday, July 26, 2018, at 3:30 p.m., for a time of remembrance and fellowship. A private family graveside service will take place. Final resting place, Kincardine Cemetery.
