Marian Elizabeth (Graham) Zinn of Lucknow, died Sunday, Aug. 5, 2018, at Sepoy Manor, Lucknow. She was 91. Born July 8, 1927, she was the daughter of Douglas and Sadie Graham. Beloved wife of Warren Zinn for 67 years. Dear Mother of Diane (Ron) Ferguson of Blyth, Terry (Colleen) Zinn of Ashfield Township, and Paul Zinn (Lynn Johnston) of Lucknow. Also greatly missed by grandchildren, Kimberley, Jeffrey (Tanis), Eric and Jenna; great-grandson, Bodie; sisters, Margaret Keith of Goderich and Belle Hackett of Lucknow; and sister-in-law, Donna Zinn of Stratford; as well as many fellow historians and friends. Predeceased by parents Douglas and Sadie Graham; and sister, Gladys Tuck. Marian was a long-time resident of Ashfield Township and later, Lucknow. She chaired and co-chaired several committees, doing research for history books of Ashfield Township and other local communities. She loved history and genealogy, and this spring, she was nominated for a Huron Arts and Heritage Network Cultural Award in the category of “Heritage Individual or Organization.” Visitation will be held at the Lucknow Community Centre, Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2018, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m., where the funeral will be conducted, Thursday, Aug. 9, 2018, at 11 a.m. Interment, Greenhill Cemetery, Lucknow. In lieu of flowers, donations to Greenhill Cemetery, or South Kinloss Cemetery, would be greatly appreciated as expressions of sympathy. |
