Finlay Lorne MacLennan of Kincardine, died peacefully at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Kincardine, surrounded by family, Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2018, in his 84th year. Beloved husband of the late Carrie MacLennan (nèe Schuler). Dear father of Patsy MacLennan of Kincardine, Diane (Harry) Whetham of Stratford, Tom (Huguette) MacLennan of Durham, North Carolina, Peggy (Dave) Hefkey of Kincardine, and Frank (Janice) MacLennan of Toronto. Loved grandfather of Aaron and Amanda Whetham, and Ashley, Paula, Kayli and Kiana MacLennan. Cherished great-grandfather of Brendon, Caden, Cody, Paisley and Heydan Whetham. Also remembered by his three sisters, Louise Miller of Palmerston, Marion McGee of Goderich, and Marg Morton of Point Clark. Predeceased by his parents, Emile and Rhetta MacLenna; brothers, Rod, Eldon, Donald, George, John and Sandy; and sister, Florence. For many years, Finlay trained horses at the Connaught Park race track in Kincardine. The memorial service will be held at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, Saturday, Aug. 25, 2018, at 1 p.m., with Rev. Ray Luinstra officiating. Final resting place, Kincardine Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Kincardine and Community Health Care Foundation or the Lung Association – Ontario, would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. |
