June Eileen (Ibbotson) Kerslake of RR 2, Kincardine, died Saturday, Sept. 15, 2018, at Huron Shores Hospice, Tiverton. She was 80. Born in Kincardine Township, March 26, 1938, she was the daughter of Christina (McKenzie) and George Ibbotson. She attended S.S. No. 12 public school and Kincardine District High School. Oct. 22, 1960, she married Keith Kerslake, and they farmed on Lot 31, Concession 6, in Greenock Township, for 48 years. Keith died in 2009. June was predeceased by her parents; her sister, Mildred (Quinn) Stanley in 1975; and brothers, Robert (2010), and Murray (2012). Survived by three sons, David and Nicole of Durham; Ross and Irene of Greenock Township; and Robert and Laura of Hanover; and her sister, Beverley. Also missed by seven grandchildren, Tysen, Emily, Ayden, Shane, Ashlyn, Finntan and Aoife; two step-grandchildren, Amanda Matson and Stacey Halliday; and two step-great-grandchildren, Madeline and Joseph Halliday. Visitation will be held Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2018, from 2-4 p.m., and 7-9 p.m., at the MacKenzie and McCreath Funeral Home, Ripley. The funeral will be conducted at the Anglican Church of the Messiah, Kincardine, Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2018, at 11 a.m., with Rev. Rob Hiscox officiating. Interment, Kincardine Cemetery. Memorial donations to the London Health Sciences Foundation or Huron Shores Hospice, would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. |
