Joan Olive MacGregor (née Nicholas) of Kincardine, died with family by her side, Thursday, Nov. 8, 2018, at the age of 84. Cherished wife of N.J. “Sam” MacGregor for 64 years. Loving mother of Debby (Gord) Brindley, Heather (Mike) Doyle, and Annie (Dale) Small. Missed by her grandchildren, Nick, Hannah, Kasey, Sami Joe, Cari, Mikaila, Joey, Olivia, Grace and Seamus; and six great-grandchildren. Fondly remembered by her sisters, Marjorie Plaskett and Dorothy Rowland; sisters-in-law, Barb Nicholas, Marion MacLeod, Gladys “Benny” Murray, Shirley Colquhoun and June McGregor; and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, George and Clara (née Berger) Nicholas; brothers, Henry and Tom Nicholas; and brothers-in-law, Russell Plaskett, Jack Rowland, Donald MacLeod, Ray Murray, Bob Colquhoun and Morrison “Mort” MacGregor; and sister-in-law, Donna Howard (Jack). A mix-and-mingle visitation, with no formal receiving line, will take place at the Inverlyn Club House (157 Carloway Trail), Monday, Nov. 12, 2018, from 3-6 p.m. Memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society of Grey-Bruce or SickKids Foundation, would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. |
