RONALD WALTER WILSON

January 5, 2019

“Blessed is the life that finds joy in the journey.” Ronald Walter Wilson, born in Toronto April 17, 1942, died at the Kincardine hospital, Jan. 5, 2019, in his 77th year. Steadfast beside him, has been Ron’s soul mate and wife, Donna, with whom he celebrated 52 years of marriage, and raised three children: Greg (predeceased, 1994), Kari, and Debi. Ron and Donna have six amazing grandchildren: Lillian, Tristan, Lydia, Noah, Zoe, and Carver. Throughout his life, Ron enjoyed many interests, such as cycling, fishing, hunting, camping, golfing, photography and woodworking. He could often be found in his workshop making, toys, bird feeders, and wooden spoons for family and friends. Ron enjoyed his morning coffee at McDonald’s with friends, and special outings with Donna, always on the search for out-of-the-way places that served great food. Perhaps above all, Ron was devoted to his family, who felt the depth of his love, appreciated his quiet strength, his varied interests, and his sense of humour. He had a strong faith and his love for Jesus was evident throughout his life. Ron’s earthly journey is over, but the joy in it is remembered and honoured as we say farewell. Private interment will take place in the spring. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Ronald McDonald House London, Ontario, or to a charity of your choice.
