Margaret “Marg” Isabel Lamont (Stone) of Kincardine, died Thursday, Jan. 17, 2019, in her 70th year.
Cherished wife of Elmer Lamont. Loving mother of Shannon (Jeff) McLeod of Scotland, Ontario, Shelley (Adam) Purdon of Oshawa, and Sandra (Bill) Kehoe of Dundas. Missed by grandchildren, Brayden, Dylan, Mya, Aidan, Ryan, Allie, Katie and James. Dear sister of John (Rose) Stone of Oakville. Missed by in-laws, Lloyd (Muriel) Lamont, George Lamont, Alvin Lamont, Archie (Virginia) Lamont, Ken MacDonald, Gladys Wylds, Betty MacDonald, Evelyn Lamont, Marie Lamont and Darlene Lamont. Also missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Predeceased by her parents, John and Isabel Stone; sister, Mary Stone; and in-laws, Harold, Leonard, Doug, Norman, Colin, Gordie, Kevin Lamont, Evelyn Fox, Lily Mae Lamont and Jennie MacDonald. Marg enjoyed spending time with her family and helping out in her community. She was a member of the Epsilon Alpha chapter of Beta Sigma Phi which donated to the Kincardine Food Bank every year at Christmas time. Visitation will be held at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, Kincardine, Sunday, Jan. 20, 2019, from 1-5 p.m., where the funeral will be held, Monday, Jan. 21, 2019, at 11 a.m., with Rev. Gord Dunbar officiating. Final resting place, Kincardine Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Kincardine and Community Health Care Foundation or a charity of your choice, would be appreciated as expression of sympathy. |
