Our dear son, Jeffrey Matchett, died suddenly, Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2019. Born in London, Aug. 18, 1977, with only a short 41 years with us, Jeff gave us joy with his awesome hugs and mild demeanour. He did many jobs, including maintenance at the office of Matchett Financial Services, as well as plowing snow and cutting grass during the seasons. He is the son of Janice and Robin Matchett of Kincardine. Sadly missed by sister, Andrea Matchett (Terry Marsh). Remembered by his uncles, Phil Paquette (Cathy) and Jim Paquette (and friend Nancy Bieber); and aunt, Janet Paquette; as well as uncles, David Matchett (Nancy) and Charles Matchett (Veronica); and aunts, June Robichaud, Judy Burke (Colin) and Rhonda Dennis (Bryan). Many cousins will miss him, including Kerri Pollock (Keith), Suzanne Nicholson (Steve), Michelle Elliott, Angela Jones (Larry), Shawn Paquette (Cherie), Adrienne James (Mike), Lindsay Christman (Bryan), Carlie Pica (Joe), Kaitlyn Paquette and Andrew Paquette. Also, Michael Matchett (Jodi), Michelle Foran (Randy), Melissa Thibodeau (Frank), Anthony Bowman, Thomas Bowman, Shannon Matchett, Charlene Matchett, Maggie Mae Burke, Troy Robichaud, Jason Robichaud, Amanda (David) Miller and Andria (Jerry) Brunette. Predeceased by his grandparents, Donald and Barbara Paquette; and uncles, Donald Paquette, and Terry Paquette and his wife, June. In his spare time every summer, Jeff enjoyed fishing on Lake Huron and always shared his catch with us. He loved his dog, Cora, and was often seen walking her in downtown Kincardine or at the Geddes Park Trails. There will be no funeral service. A private family gathering will be held at a future date.
