She filled our lives with the power of love, laughter, quick wit, optimism, forgiveness and wisdom. To know her was to love her as she radiated kindness and compassion. The family offers a special thank you to Dr. Miranda Sheppard for her ongoing care and support as well as the countless home visits. We can never express the depth of our gratitude for your comforting presence with us during her last moments on earth. Thank you also to Sheena and the home care team. There will be no funeral as Dorothy believed her recent 100th birthday party was the greatest celebration of her life. She was honoured to have spent time with so many loved ones on that monumental occasion. “I’m tired and I’m weary and my work here is done. I’ll meet you once more at the rainbows edge …” |
