Gail Louise Chalmers (née Gowing), formerly of Point Clark, died at the Alexandra Marine and General Hospital, Goderich, Tuesday, March 31, 2020, at the age of 76. Cherished wife of the late Wally Chalmers (2009). Dear mother of Dawn (John) Mawhinney of Kincardine, and Jeff (Debora) Chalmers of Ripley. Beloved grandmother of Matthew (Allie Houston) Mawhinney, and Darby and Larissa Chalmers. Dear sister of Glenna (Ross) Pannabecker, Carol (Bob) Mommersteeg and Kim (Bill) Stride. Missed by her siblings-in-law, Joan Chalmers, Richard Chalmers and Mary (Ken) Phillips. Predeceased by her parents, Norman and Helen (née Turvey) Gowing; and brothers-in-law, Jim Chalmers and Dave Chalmers. Gail and her husband, Wally, ran Kincardine Commercial Printing in downtown Kincardine for many years before handing the reins over to their daughter, Dawn, and her husband, John Mawhinney. A private graveside service will take place. Final resting place, Blyth Union Cemetery.
