William “Ralph” Thacker of Kincardine, died peacefully at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Kincardine, Wednesday, June 2, 2021, in his 80th year. Remembered by his wife, Donna Thacker (née Hedley); and their three daughters, Heather, Helen and Jennifer. Predeceased by his parents, William and Rena (née Stewart) Thacker; sister, Bernice; and brother, Earl. Raised on the 9th Concession of Kincardine Township, Ralph married Donna July 4, 1964, at the United Church in Bervie. They enjoyed 57 happy years together while raising their daughters in Bramalea and Mount Forest, and finally were enjoying semi-retirement in their hometown of Kincardine. Ralph graduated from the General Accounts Associations (University of British Columbia), with a designation of Certified General Accountant, in 1970, and ran his private accounting practice from 1984 to present. He was well-respected and admired by family, friends and colleagues. He was known for his clever, quick-witted humour, and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. A private family graveside service will be held at the Kincardine Cemetery, Friday, June 11, 2021, with Pastor Kenneth Craig officiating.
