Marjorie “Wilda” Ann (née Kimmel) McArthur, one of the founders of Fisherman’s Cove, died peacefully, with family by her side, at the Wingham and District Hospital, Monday, Aug. 30, 2021, at the age of 79. Beloved wife of Allen McArthur for 60 years. Cherished mother of Richard (Ronda) McArthur, and Kim (Jeff) Wiseman. Loving grandmother of Dana (Nathan) Barnes, Travis McArthur (Brook McGlynn), Jacob, Emma and Zachary. Survived by her siblings, Bill (Gail) Kimmel of Mississauga, Ken (Janet) Kimmel of Lanzville, B.C., and Mary Kimmel of Parksville, B.C.; and siblings-in-law, Jim McArthur of B.C., Betty McArthur of Lucknow, Glen McArthur of Washington State, and Marilyn (Andy) Worth of Port Elgin. Also missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Predeceased by her parents, Bill and Mary Kimmel; siblings, Art Kimmel, Marg Nixy and Cathy Kimmel; and in-laws, Ethel and Herbert McArthur, Gloria and Mac McIsaac. Wilda was a hard-working businesswoman who was passionate about the camping industry. Due to provincial COVID-19 restrictions, a private family celebration of life will be held at the Fisherman’s Cove Clubhouse. Final resting place, Kincardine Cemetery.
