Duane Andrew Kocela of Kincardine, died peacefully at home, Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2022, surrounded by his family. Predeceased by his loving wife, Cindy. Dear father of Melissa (Zack) Smith of Kincardine, Christopher (Erin) of Tiverton, Jennifer of Kincardine, and Brelynne (Dylan) Sayle of Kincardine. Proud grandfather of Mayah, Hannah, Felicia, Bennett, Orion, Dalilah, Penelope, Jewel, Elia, Caden and Layla. Beloved son of the late John and Valerie Kocela of Windsor. Fondly remembered by his brothers, Manuel Kocela of Windsor, and John Kocela of Vancouver; and predeceased by his brother, Gary Kocela of Kelowna. Duane worked at Bruce Power until his retirement. He was an avid fisherman and golfer, and had a dry sense of humour. Cremation has taken place and Duane’s family will be holding a private memorial. A celebration of life and a charitable round of golf, benefiting Ronald McDonald House Charities of Canada, will take place in the summer of 2022. Details will be announced in the spring of 2022 and can be found on Duane’s memorial page at www.cameronfuneralhomes.com. Duane’s dearest wish was that his friends and loved ones would gather to celebrate his life, and not mourn his passing.
