Janet Marie Rhody (nee Williams) of Ripley, died peacefully surrounded by family, just after 3 a.m., Feb. 14, 2022, at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Kincardine. She was 69. She leaves behind an unfillable void once filled with the love, kindness, generosity and selflessness that she was known for. Janet was born in Goderich, May 17, 1952. Predeceased by her father, Earl Thomas Williams; and mother, Margaret Wilhelmina (nee Stock); sister, Andrea (Don) McDougall; brother, Edward L. Williams; brother-in-law, Don Larder; and grandchildren, Jessica Alvi and Zarek Zuk. Janet is survived by her brothers, Gary (Frances) Williams and Rodger (Kathy) Williams; sisters, Eleanor Larder, Joanne (Bob) Wain and Suzie (Pete) Illeman; and sisters-in-law, Sue Williams and Debbie Rhody. She leaves behind her devoted husband, Wayne Rhody; and children; Michelle Rhody (Jason Brown), Marianne Rhody-Larion (David Larion), Mandy Rhody-Zuk (Don Zuk) and Daniel (Lindsey) Rhody. Also missed by Jake Alvi. Grandma of Robert Rhody, Jake Alvi (Danis Root), Jadzia Alvi, Skylar and Oliver Rhody, Lucy Divincenzo, and Xavier, Zarion and Zendrick Zuk. Gigi to Silas and Elias Alvi. Fondly remembered by several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and -nephews; and her in-laws, David (Marilee) Rhody, Allan (Carol) Rhody and Marilyn Brace. A private memorial service will take place at the MacKenzie and McCreath Funeral Home, Lucknow.
