James “Jim” T. Needham of Ripley, beloved husband of Dorothy Needham (nee Howe) for 60 years, died at Trillium Court Seniors’ Community, Kincardine, Friday, Dec. 2, 2022, at the age of 91. Born in Kincardine, July 9, 1931, he was the son of the late Janet and Stewart Needham. Greatly missed by his son, Larry (Nancy) Needham of St. Thomas; daughter, Janice Needham of Ripley; and five grandchildren, David and Eric Needham, and Serena, Cole and Cam Lamont. Also survived by his sisters-in-law, Marguerite Hemstock, Mary (Bill) Armbrust and Louise Howe. Predeceased by his sister, Joyce Farrell. Jim was very involved in his community, through sports, agriculture and 4-H. He enjoyed visiting with people and sharing a laugh. A public celebration of Jim’s life will be held at the Ripley-Huron Community Centre, Saturday, Dec. 17, 2022, at 2 p.m., with visitation one hour prior. A private family graveside service and burial in Ripley Cemetery, will take place in the spring.
