Gerard Stephen Harman of Kincardine died Sunday, Jan. 1, 2023, at Huron Shores Hospice in Tiverton. Gerard is finally at peace after a long-fought battle with leukemia. He was 62. Predeceased by his parents, Guy and Marie Harman. Beloved brother of Colette Harman of Kincardine, Tony Harman (Alison Smith) of Skipton, United Kingdom; and Christine Harman-Collins (Jonathon Collins) of London, United Kingdom. Best uncle of Emma Harman, Leah Harman-Collins, Dan Harman (Lydia), Jeremy Harman, Fred Harman and Elle Hartley Smith. Gerard was an intelligent, talented and very funny man. He was loved by many, including family on both sides of the Atlantic. His music will play on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. A memorial service will be held at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, Kincardine, Sunday, Jan. 8, 2023, at 1 p.m., with Ann Maycock officiating. A reception will follow at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 183, Kincardine. Cremation has taken place. The Harman family thanks those at the Huron Shores Hospice for the warm and loving care they gave, comforting Gerard in his final days.
