WILLIAM EDWARD "ED" WOODS

William Edward “Ed” Woods of Bruce Township died peacefully at Trillium Court Seniors’ Community, Kincardine, Friday, May 5, 2023, at the age of 76. Beloved husband of “Jeanie” (née Gottschalk) for 57 years. Father of Wade (Jill) of Michigan, Troy (Dianne) of Tiverton, Chad (Sharon) of Tiverton and April Folmer (Steve) of Walkerton. Loving Papa of Cody (Jade), Amber (Conor), Hailey (Ryan), Tyler and Trent. Great Papa of Aubrey and Landon, Falynn and Jett. Brother of Donald (Joyce), Garry (Cathy), Bruce (Carol) and Ruth Woods (Dennis). First-born of Wallace and Dorothy Woods who predeceased him. Ed was a hardworking man with a love for carpentry since he was young. He operated his own contracting business for more than 45 years, building his dream home and teaching his three sons the skills of the trade. His love for animals, beginning with horses, kept him busy. He raised meat rabbits, goats, sheep, and Tamworth Pigs, and made his own wine from the grapes he grew. He enjoyed beekeeping and participating in car shows with their 1965 Beaumont Convertible. Ed lived a full life. Considering the last stage of his illness, his family was thankful to see him go. We will remember the good times, keeping him close to our hearts. Visitation will be held at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, Kincardine, Wednesday, May 10, 2023, from 5-8 p.m. Memorial donations to the Tiverton Lions Club or a charity of choice, would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
