Bervie man dies at the age of 79

Walter E. Splettstoesser, beloved husband of the late Hanna Splettstoesser (Bischoff), of Bervie, died at University Hospital, London, Monday, July 6, 2015, at age 79.

He was born in Hanhofen, Germany, Aug. 18, 1935, to the late Lisbeth (Jacob) and Walter Splettstoesser Sr.

Dear Father of Doris Splettstoesser of California, Irene Splettstoesser of Wingham, Ralph (Jutta) Splettstoesser of Bervie, and Karen (Tom) Huschilt of Georgetown.

Also greatly missed by 12 grandchildren: Aaron, Alisa, Melissa, Justin, Adam, Rene, Luke, Lana, Amber, Anna, Jacob and Hanna; sister, Brigitte Schnorrbusch of Toronto; and loving friend, Gabrielle Kleist of Kincardine.

Predeceased by his brother, Werner.

Visitation will be held at MacKenzie and McCreath Funeral Home, Ripley, Wednesday, July 8, 2015, from 7-9 p.m. A funeral service from the chapel will be conducted Thursday, July 9, 2015, at 2 p.m., with visitation one hour prior.

Interment Kincardine Cemetery.
