Thanks to all who supported the Ripley Christmas Hamper program

Thanks to all who supported the Ripley Christmas Hamper program
To the Editor:

On behalf of the Ripley and District Christmas Hamper program, we send out a huge thank you to the individuals and families who gave personal donations to our program, in lieu of family Christmas gifts. What a selfless thing to do for the less fortunate in our community!

A special thank you to all service clubs and church groups in our area. Your generous donations helped us to provide gift cards from local vendors in the hampers. To the Community Well Being Program, thanks for the donation to kick-start our program again this year. Local companies provided extremely-generous donations from themselves and their employees.

Please know that your contributions would surely bring many smiles to the people who received them.

This year, we packed 53 hampers and distributed them with help from our volunteer drivers. The hampers went to 26 families with 63 children, and 31 individuals, for a total of 143 people in our community who received this kindness and generosity.

We could not have done this without your effort and support. As a result, you have brightened the Christmas season for many in our community.

And last but not least, our committee members who work countless hours planning, organizing, and purchasing, thanks so much for all your help.

Marianne and Larry Irwin
Ripley and District Christmas Hamper program committee
