Three in running for Kincardine Fall Fair ambassador; more welcome

Three young ladies have already put their names forward to compete for the title of Kincardine Fall Fair ambassador, but more contestants are welcome.

That's the word from ambassador pageant organizers Margaret Visser and Judith Bond who met with the ladies June 29. Currently in the running, are Lara Clubb who is sponsored by The Co-operators; Hailey Allen who is sponsored by Canadian Tire; and Kelsey Padfield who is sponsored by Linda Bowers Royal LePage Exchange Realty Ltd.

The fair runs Friday to Sunday, Sept. 4-6, with the ambassador pageant on the Friday night. This is the second year for the event, with Sadie Shewfelt crowned 2014 ambassador. Visser also announced a $500 donation to the fall fair, from Ontario Power Generation (OPG).

This year's fall fair theme is "Blue Jeans and Country Dreams."

And new for 2015, are a Saturday night fall fair dance to Steve Deer and friends; and a Sunday morning church service. Also on Sunday, are a miniature horse show and a demonstration of remote-controlled vehicles.

The weekend features many beloved fall fair activities: the parade, horse show, livestock shows, poultry show, the homecraft exhibit, and lots of entertainment.
