Reader says traffic accident could result from Queen Street closures

To the Editor:

Regarding the closure of Queen Street in downtown Kincardine. 

Please consider that traffic is then diverted through the municipal parking lot and between the Royal Apartments and the Erie Belle on to a one-way street.

Racing vehicles were noted last year on this area, no posted speeds and no protection for pedestrians. Also, there is no allowance provided to businesses in this critical area of attraction.

The end of Harbour Street is designated ONE WAY, yet visitors to this area may be unaware and a traffic accident could be the result of these Queen Street closures.
