STOLEN CHEVROLET WORK TRUCK RECOVERED
(GODERICH, ON) – July 22, Huron County OPP received notification that the Chevrolet Silverado pick-up truck, that was stolen from McGee Automotive Supply in Goderich this week, had been recovered.
Just after 2:15 p.m., Waterloo Regional Police officers found the stolen truck parked on a New Hamburg street.
The police investigation continues.
COURT DATE AHEAD FOR SPEEDSTER
(ASHFIELD-COLBORNE-WAWANOSH, ON) - A 30-year-old Barrie man has been charged with Racing after the vehicle he was driving was stopped by police speeding on Bluewater Veterans Highway, north of Port Albert.
July 20, at approximately 7 a.m., a Huron County OPP officer observed a Ford Ranger pick-up truck travelling on Bluewater Veterans Highway at a high rate of speed. The officer utilized a RADAR device to measure the speed of the truck which was locked at 134 km/h in posted 80 km/h zone.
Anthony STEWART, 30, of Barrie has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle and Fail to Surrender Driver’s Licence. His licence has been suspended for seven days and his pick-up truck has been impounded for a week. He also has a court appearance scheduled for Sept. 1, at Provincial Offences Act Court in Goderich.
