More readers disappointed with loss of specialist in Kincardine

RE: “Medical specialist not welcomed in Kincardine”
I am not happy with the Kincardine doctor recruitment team.
The specialist referred to in the article is my specialist and likely many others'.
It was so nice and convenient to just go into Kincardine for an appointment.
We need specialists here so we don't have to travel to the city, so let's change direction and try to keep her here.
Please.

It is so disappointing to read that Kincardine council refused to hire a physician who has a specialty in rheumatology. Would she also have set up a general practice, along with her specialty?
With the number of people who suffer from arthritis in this town, could she not have been busy enough? What about referrals to her from out of town as well?
Kincardine seems to be moving backwards instead of progressing in so many areas. Why is this? Do we need changes in our elected council?
With progress going ahead in Port Elgin, and so much of our hospital progress going to Walkerton, it seems as if we are destined to remain small town in so many ways.
This is very disheartening!
