Readers say excessive lighting not needed at Lambton Street parking lot
To the Editor:
I am a daily user of this park, so congratulations to Shirley Wright for putting my thoughts into words.
Is this the best time, at the height of tourist season, to interrupt our use of the park to make these changes?
Why are lights being installed in the parking lot?
Watching sunsets and gazing at the night sky, with wave sounds as background, are awesome experiences. These experiences are not compatible with parking lot lighting.

To the Editor:
I agree with Shirley Wright.
The lights and median are excessive and a waste of taxpayers’ money.
I don’t think we need another hazardous median like the one in the downtown parking lot, especially when it’s covered in snow and you can’t see the step or when you are not paying attention and forget there’s a step.
Let’s save some money and use common sense.
Maybe build some sidewalks.
