Do it for the kids!
To the Editor:
For anyone hesitating about getting the COVID-19 vaccine, you might consider whether it’s worth it to do it for the kids!
Children under the age of 12 aren’t eligible to get the vaccine, but now seem to be susceptible to the virus.
If everyone else gets completely-vaccinated, the incidence of infection will be greatly reduced; thus, reducing the risk to children and the long-term effects that they might develop and have to live with for the rest of their lives.
We are heading into the third school year that may be interrupted by the pandemic. This is life-altering, both emotionally and scholastically.
Our kids and grandkids deserve to have their childhoods restored to normal.
So, I say we should all roll up our sleeves and take one (and two) for the kids!
