RBC branch in Ripley set to close in February
The RBC Royal Bank branch in Ripley is set to close in February, 2022.
That’s the word from Cheryl Brean, director of communications, southwestern Ontario, for RBC Royal Bank of Canada.
“Our branch network continually evolves and changes as we seek to serve our clients where and how they wish to conduct their banking,” states Brean, via E-mail. “In some circumstances, this may involve combining branches, relocating certain branches or opening new ones.
“We made the decision to merge our Ripley branch with our Kincardine branch, Feb. 4, 2022, after careful consideration of how we can best serve our clients in this area. We remain committed to working with all our clients to ensure they have banking solutions that work for them.”
More than 30 years ago, in 1986-87, RBC attempted to close the Ripley branch, but that decision was reversed due to concerns from the community.
