The choice should be to keep families and friends safe, says reader

To the Editor:
RE: “Group pushes for protection of personal medical information”

I guess by freedom of choice these people don't care that without a vaccine, this COVID-19 pandemic will never go away. We don't have polio anymore. 

If they were travelling to certain countries that require vaccines, they would have to show proof of vaccination.   

So, in this case, it's personal selfishness but to eradicate this pandemic, it's pro-choice. The first ones to protest business closures and the first in line to take up hospital beds when, and if, they are proof-positive.

We choose to live and keep our families and friends safe. That's our choice and I'm happy to show proof. You're not being asked for your medical history, just proof of vaccination.

Step down off the soapbox and stomp out COVID-19. It's the only way life will get back to normal.
