Thank you from the Ripley and District Christmas Hamper Program

To the Editor:

On behalf of the Ripley and District Christmas Hamper Program, we send out a huge thank you to the individuals and families who gave personal donations to our program, in lieu of family Christmas gifts. What a selfless thing to do for the less fortunate in our community.

A special thank you to all service clubs and church groups in our area. Your generous donations helped us to supply gift cards to local vendors. Local companies provided extremely generous donation from themselves and their employees.

Please know that your contributions will surely bring many smiles to the people who received them.

This year, we packed 53 hampers and distributed them with help from our volunteer drivers. These hampers assisted 22 families, which include 64 children and 74 adults, for a total of 138 people.

We could not have done this without your effort and support. As a result, you have brightened the Christmas season for many in our community.

And last, but not least, to our committee members who worked countless hours, planning, organizing, and purchasing, thanks so much for all your help.
