The Kincardine Bulldogs notched a win and a tie on the weekend, on home ice at the Davidson Centre, in PJHL action.

Friday night, they faced the Goderich Flyers and edged them, 3-2.

Grant then made it a 2-0 game partway through the second, unassisted.

In the final frame, Fritzley put the ‘Dogs ahead 3-0, scoring from Grant.

Goderich then managed to put two markers on the board but couldn’t get the tying goal, and the ‘Dogs won, 3-2.

Kincardine goalie Ryan Tanner made 31 saves on 33 shots.

Saturday night, the ‘Dogs hosted the Wingham Ironmen and played to a 2-2 tie.

Carter Servais opened the scoring early in the first period, from Ben Nauta and Ryan Litt, to make it 1-0 for the Bulldogs. But seconds later, Wingham tied it at a goal apiece.

After a scoreless second period, Kyle Dolmage put the ‘Dogs ahead, 2-1, early in the third, assisted by Litt.

But midway in the final frame, Wingham tied it up at 2-2, forcing the game into overtime.

The overtime period was scoreless and the game ended in a 2-2 tie.

Goalie Tanner made 36 saves on 38 shots.

The Bulldogs are travelling this weekend, playing in Wingham tomorrow night (Feb. 11) and Mitchell Saturday night (Feb. 12).

They are back at the Davidson Centre, Friday, Feb. 18, taking on Mount Forest at 8:30 p.m.
