Ripley Wolves fall, 5-2, in Game 1 against Clinton

The Clinton Radars stole the opening game of the series against the Ripley Wolves, by a score of 5-2, Sunday evening, at the Ripley Arena.

The Radars were on a high after a 3-1 series comeback in Round 1 against Mapleton-Minto, and kept their winning streak going against the Wolves, who haven't played such a high-quality team since December.

The game was tied, 2-2, after two periods, but the Wolves couldn't muster any more offence and Clinton netted a pair, adding an empty-netter, to strike first in the series.

Scoring for the Wolves were Jarred Colling from Cody Britton and Gerritt Satosek; and Dan Nicoloff from brothers Jarrett and Alex Kuntz.

Jason Hamilton took the loss in the Wolves net.

Games 2 and 3 will be played this weekend, Friday, March 4, at 8:30 p.m. in Clinton, and Saturday, March 5, at 7 p.m. in Ripley.
