2022 Kincardine Women's Triathlon set for July 9 at Station Beach
After being cancelled for the past two years, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Kincardine Women’s Triathlon is scheduled to run Saturday, July 9, at Station Beach.

Organizers of the race say that all participants who were registered for the 2020 event have been rolled into the 2022 event.

“We would like to confirm registration numbers and ensure we have updated information for participants,” states a message on the race’s Facebook page. “As of March 1, we have opened registration for 2020 registrants only. If you were registered in 2020 and are interested in participating in the 2022 event, you will need to re-register between March 1 and March 31.”

To be able to claim the deferral and re-register for 2022 for free, it is imperative that participants register for 2022 using the same CCN account/profile that was used in 2020 so that the system can validate the previous entry.

Triathlon Ontario day memberships purchased in 2020 will be validated and deferred to 2022. Participants who held a 2020 Triathlon Ontario annual membership at the time of their 2020 registration, will need to purchase either a 2022 Triathlon Ontario annual membership or a 2022 Triathlon Ontario day membership to participate.

“As a friendly reminder, per our race policy, we are unable to offer refunds for the 2020 race as we operate as a not-for-profit event and incurred many of our costs at the start of 2020,” states the message.

After registration for the 2020 registrants closes March 31, race organizers will determine whether they have the capacity available to open the 2022 event to additional participants. If there are additional spots, they will communicate the registration window in advance.

“We are really looking forward to celebrating our 20th anniversary with all of you! Thanks again, for your patience and support. Happy training!”
