Ainsdale Golf Course planning to open April 22
Ainsdale Golf Course has just completed a busy weekend, with its open house Friday and Saturday, and Easter Brunch take-out Sunday.
Now, owners Charles and Taylor Candler and their staff are gearing up for the opening of the 18-hole course, on Highway 21 just south of Kincardine, Friday, April 22.
While there will be some nice days prior to that date, the Ainsdale team will be hard at work, clearing brush from the winter and preparing the course for opening.
With the unpredictable spring weather, this opening date is subject to change.
On-line tee-time bookings will be available 10 days in advance for members and seven days in advance for the public.
Meanwhile, the Candlers welcomed about 50 people to a special VIP Night, Friday, April 8, to showcase the new bar in the clubhouse.
This area, which wasn’t aesthetically-pleasing, has been completely renovated.
The new bar is more open and inviting, offers a clean, modern look, and provides additional seating and televisions. There is more space behind the bar and a new service counter.
The old cupboards that hung over the bar, have been removed, and beautiful new cabinets now line the north wall behind the bar.
The dining area next to the bar, now features tall-boy tables with stools, for a more casual restaurant atmosphere.
Ainsdale plans to continue its NFL pool this fall, with offerings during the games at the new bar.
Last year, the Candlers built a new patio with retractable shades, making the area waterproof and protected from the sun.
