​Kincardine councillor glad to see police patrols nabbing speeders

To the Editor:
RE: “South Bruce OPP report holiday weekend traffic initiative results”

I was so pleased to read this story about our OPP patrolling our community. 

The biggest complaint in our community has been speeding, and you see that having our OPP being visible on our roads has netted 52 charges for speeding over a three-day period.

With the reported shortage of OPP officers over the past two years, the patrolling part of their responsibility has been lacking.

We are hoping that with the new hires, their visibility will be greater and speeding on our community roads will decrease.
