Kincardine Community Living Charity Golf Classic returns July 15

July 1, 2022

Community Living of Kincardine and District’s 14th annual Charity Golf Classic will return to its traditional shot-gun start format, with dinner and reception, July 15, at Ainsdale Golf Course.

This event is the agency’s largest annual fund-raiser, with a goal of $15,000, to enhance the supports and services for the more than 150 community members it supports, who live with a developmental disability.

“Last year, saw a modified day of golf, but we look forward to welcoming back our traditional annual Charity Golf Classic this year,” says Catherine Evans, communication and marketing co-ordinator. “Golfers will enjoy 18 holes of golf with power cart, silent auction and dinner reception, at Ainsdale. We are excited to welcome back this traditional format, giving guests a chance to mingle, network, learn more about our mission, and enjoy a great meal after an enjoyable day of golf.”

Registration is open and there are a few spots left! To register as a golfer, team, or to sponsor the event, visit: www.clkd.ca/2022-golf-tournament.

The annual tournament brings golfers and community members together to raise funds in support of more than 150 infants, children, youth and adults living with a developmental disability. Funds raised through this event provide enhancements to Community Living’s services to support members to become engaged and active citizens, enriching the community while pursuing their individual goals and dreams.

These enhancements include, but are not limited to, helping an individual to start his first job, creating fun opportunities for youth to learn valuable social, independence and workplace skills, supporting members to connect to recreational, or social, activities in the community, or to help Community Living in accelerating efforts to dispel harmful myths and misconceptions about those living with a disability.

“As we work to build an inclusive community that embraces and creates opportunities for individuals of all abilities, we are grateful for the assistance of our valued sponsors, participants and partners,” says Evans.
