Kincardine resident welcomes return of Canada Day festivities
To the Editor:

The COVID-19 pandemic was tough on everyone, but there is always an end for everything and finally, Friday, July 1, Kincardine celebrated its first in-person Canada Day in three years.

This much-anticipated event is celebrated by having the Kincardine Scottish Pipe Band and people from diverse backgrounds, who call Canada their home, walking in the parade.

Many people dressed up in the nation’s colours of red and white, and enjoyed the festivities and fireworks, displaying their Canadian pride.

Members of the Sanatan Hindu Centre, Kincardine, took part in the parade and the celebration.

This year, Abhilasha, Varun, Shruti and I had the unique experience of watching the spectacular showcase of fireworks from Keith Malhotra’s boat in the marina, with most stunning effects from the water and the lit-up Town of Kincardine as backdrop.

Happy Canada Day!
