Thank you, Liz Dadson, for doing your job
To the Editor:

Thank you, Liz Dadson, for doing your job and reporting without opinion or bias; that is exactly how reporting news is done!

We are fortunate to have all sides of local news reported by professional journalist Liz Dadson. The Kincardine Record covers stories that give readers the opportunity to use critical thinking and make informed responses.

Debate is a form of Freedom of Speech and I’m glad that people feel free to respond to Lisa Thurman’s Soap Box Speech on Propaganda 101. There is nothing shameful or embarrassing when telling the TRUTH. Responding respectfully shows maturity and intelligence not anger or fear.

Canadians are losing many rights, creating changes to the way we live today. Bills at the government level are being passed without debate or even conversations between Canadians and their MPP, MP and Senator:

The question is: What has happened that people can’t speak up, have a difference of opinion, inclusiveness and acceptance, able to openly express themselves no matter where they fall in the political spectrum? Be proud to say “I’m a Canadian” with an opinion without being called names or disrespected.

If you are quiet or support a journalist who censors news and the injustice to fellow Canadians, you are as guilty as the ones persecuting them for being confident and courageous Canadians who are able to stand up and say “NO.”

“Strong people don’t put others down ... they lift them up” (Quote from Upside Thinking)

Sincere thanks again Liz, for doing an excellent job in keeping us all up-to-date.

Carol Blake
