Talk won’t cure health care problems
To the Editor:
Huron-Bruce MPP Lisa Thompson is a great representative when it comes to passing out our money to various groups around the riding.
But does she speak truth to power? Does she tell Ontario premier Doug Ford that something has to be done to shore up health care in this province? I don’t believe so.
The emergency departments across Western Ontario have had to close many times in the past few months because of a shortage of staff. You have to wait 20 hours to see a doctor in London.
The state of health care in Ontario is depressing. The Ford government says it is fixing the problem – that’s just talk, things are getting worse, not better.
People in this riding should be telling Thompson to demand that the Ford government start improving health care. If she doesn’t make some noise, vote her out next election.
Our elected officials are great talkers. It’s time they started following through.
