RE: “Remembering Joe Elliott, one soldier who did not return”
Thanks so much for the great article on Joe Elliott.
My mother, Joyce Courtney (nee Elliott), grew up on the farm beside Joe’s family, and Mom often talked about Joe and the sadness of losing him in the war.
So many heroes to remember always.
Sincerely,
Joan Petersen (nee Courtney)

Good to have a story of one of our Bethel soldiers who didn’t come home, with Remembrance Day so close.
Well done, Ruth Anne, and the Kincardine Record.

RE: “Soap Box Speech focuses on importance of local politics”
I was very impressed by the Soap Box Speech written by Amanda Doyle and delivered by Lisa Thurman.
Having just read the on-line version, I’m sure I missed some of the drama of presentation.
Your thoughts were right on, ladies!
