Gorgeous day for a parade in Ripley
The Ripley-Huron Fall Fair mammoth parade was a bit smaller than the Ripley Reunion parade back in August, but it was a gorgeous day for the event that marched through downtown Ripley to the fairgrounds, Saturday.
The Kincardine Scottish Pipe Band led the parade, followed by numerous floats, antique and historic vehicles, a six-seater bike, fancy decorated children's bikes and vehicles, the Bruce Shriners, the Teeswater Highlanders and the Brussels Legion Pipes and Drums, politicians, political candidates in the federal election, horses, and horse-drawn wagons.
It was a great sight and, as the Graham Cook vehicle rode down the street on a flat-bed trailer, marking the end of the parade, a sea of people headed into the fairgrounds to enjoy another spectacular day at the fair.
More coverage of the fall fair events still to come in the Kincardine Record.
